Jesus Christ went around in Galilee, for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. (John 7:1-9).
When the Feast of Tabernacles was at hand, His cousins said to Him in the country field.
“Leave here and go to Judea so that Your disciples may see the miracles You do, for no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. Since You are doing those things, show yourself to the world.”
For even His cousins did not believe Him, He said to them.
“My time has not yet come, but you have your own time always. The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me, because I testify that what it does is evil. You go up to the Feast of Tabernacles. I am not yet going up to the Feast, for My time has not yet fully come.”
Then He remained in Galilee.
After His cousins (Simon and Joseph) had left for the Feast of Tabernacles, He went up to Jerusalem, not publicly, but in secret. (John 7:10).
